Sunday School @ BWBC
Sundays – 8:45 am
WELCOME members and visitors! We are now offering Sunday School in person - please join us each Sunday upstairs in the JRS Building! Or continue to join us on ZOOM!
This is our time to study the Bible with others together, to learn ways of the church, to deepen our discipleship and to learn how to live out our faith throughout the coming week.
"Let's study safely! together!"
"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual."

Unit I: Love Completed, Law Falls Short
Jesus Prevents Two Stonings
Print Passage: John 8: 1-11; 56-59
Key Verse: And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
(John 8: 11b, KJV)
Caught in the Act
1 ( John 8: 1-6a)
1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6a This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him.
Writing on the Ground
( John 8: 6b-11)
6b But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
( John 8: 56-59)
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
