Dr. Michael O. Oyedokun II is an internationally recognized preacher. He understands the power of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to impact the lives of people. He has been speaking and preaching for over 37 years. He began his speaking as a youth in the local church and on the state level.

He has preached across the United States and continues to speak to churches, youth, national and district groups, and organizations. Dr. Oyedokun has a passion for speaking and he has studied the art of persuasive preaching to initiate a change in the lives of the hearers. Reverend Dr. Oyedokun specializes in servant leadership, persuasive preaching, youth development, faith through struggle, making disciples and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

His personal interests include a love for technology, playing golf and sports; he played football for Stephen F. Austin in college. Dr. Oyedokun also founded Doke Enterprises, LLC and Doke Ministries, Inc., a non-profit that focuses on youth. He earned his Master of Divinity in Theology from G.W. Truett Seminary at Baylor University after obtaining his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University. He earned his Doctor of Ministry in Advanced Expository Preaching from Dallas Theological Seminary and together with his wife (Shantell) and three children (Emari, Shirah and Genesis), reside in the Dallas area. He was on staff at Dallas Theological Seminary as the Associate Director of Ministry Formation.

Dr. Oyedokun has been involved in denominational work (locally, state and national). Currently he serves as the Assistant Dean for the North Texas District Association, Secretary of Information and Technology for the (MBGCT) Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas, Chairman of Commission on Pastor & Church Financial Health for the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc. Intl, and he serves as Director of Programming for MUMD (Ministers United for Ministerial Development).  He has served as Director of the Minister’s Conference for St. John Regular Baptist Association and Vice President of the Minister’s Conference of the South Central Region of the MBGCT.

Dr. Oyedokun is a published author with two books entitled, “Preaching in HD (High Definition)" and "Ain't HE Alright." He has also written other articles in theological journals.

Dr. Oyedokun has worked hard in the community of Waco, Austin and Forney. He served as a board member for the Capital City African American Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and he gives his time to youth as well by mentoring and tutoring.  Currently, he serves as Chapel Leader to the North Forney High School Football Team and mentors students in the community.

Dr. Oyedokun has served in pastoral ministry for seventeen years. He was called to the Good Hope Baptist Church in August of 2008. On September 7, 2008 he preached his first sermon as pastor at Good Hope Baptist Church.  He transitioned from Good Hope Baptist Church in July of 2021 to Forney, TX. He founded Love Community Baptist Church in Forney, TX with the first service on April 10, 2022.  He is currently serving as Senior Pastor of the Historic Ben Washington Baptist Church in Irving, TX, after being called in September of 2025.
